Message from the headteacher

On behalf of the staff and governors, I would like to welcome you and your family to St Matthew’s Church of England Primary School.

Our school is a happy, Christian community where each child is valued.

1. We expect children to enjoy their school life and feel safe and secure within the school family.
2. We create an atmosphere that encourages the growth of confidence, self-discipline and the development of independent learners.
3. We expect high standards of behaviour and work, trusting that parents and carers will share our expectations and work alongside us.

Partnership with parents is essential in order that we can achieve the best for our children and we look forward to a happy and successful relationship over the coming years. We hope you will extend your knowledge of the school through contact and discussion with me and other members of staff, taking advantage of opportunities to share in your child’s education and the life of the school.
