At St Matthew's, we use School Spider as a parent/school communication tool. It will have all the most recent news and events. Please check this regularly.

In Year 1, Miss Greenwood, Miss Hobson and Mrs Gregory are the staff that are dedicated to supporting your child's wellbeing and happiness at school.  We help ensure that they are fantastic learners. A member of staff will be on the door each day, should you have any messages or queries.

Please download the long term overview below to see what your child will be learning about. There are also useful documents that are available to download that will support your child's learning at home, and give you an insight in what they need to know throughout their time in Year 1.

Important info to remember:

PE - Tuesday and Wednesday. We ask that your child comes to school in their kit on these days.

Reading books - please send your child's reading bag each day. Reading books will be changed weekly

Water bottles - please send a water bottle to school with your child if possible.
