Welcome to the St Matthew's Primary School Year 1 Class Page

At St Matthew's, we use Class Dojo as a parent/school communication tool. It will have all the most recent class work, updates, news and events. Please check this regularly.

In Year 1, Mrs Beecher, Mrs Hardy, Mrs Harper, Miss Millington, Miss Moloney and Mr Edwards are the staff that are dedicated to supporting your child's wellbeing and happiness at school, and to ensure that they are fantastic learners.

In Autumn 1, we are going to be learning about so many different things. Please download the long term overview below to see what your child will be learning about. There are also useful documents that are available to download that will support your child's learning at home, and give you an insight in what they need to know throughout their time in Year 1.

Please do keep up to date with any news, or any events that are happening each week by logging onto Class Dojo. We post on there most days, and we will often add reminders about PE or about things that we need in school.

Important info to remember:

PE - Monday and Friday. We ask that your child comes to school in their kit on these days

Reading books - please send your child's reading bag each day. Reading books will be changed weekly

Spellings - a spelling test is completed every Friday

Water bottles - please send a water bottle to school with your child if possible.
